Current day on daily chart doesn't backfill

Hi. My daily charts do not backfill the current day correctly. It basically shows the range that occurred while NT was connected to a data source. I know that Zen-Fire does not have daily historical data, but I'm also using IQFeed for backfill with no luck. Tick and minute bars are fine.

I'm using NT ver. 6.0.1000.1, with a Zen-Fire feed (set up with backfill enabled) and IQFeed (delayed only for backfill). I connect Zen-Fire first and then IQFeed.

Please disregard my question; I found the problem. I'm charting full-size, electronic June crude on NYMEX (CL M7), but I realized that I needed to change the IQFeed symbol mapping to QCL to get the electronic-only contract.

While we're talking about daily charts... When I use the CL ##-## symbol with the IQFeed backfill to get the continuous, it doesn't work. Are there any issues with using IQ's continuous contract?

Ok, I just tried standard NT setup for CL (mapped to CL).
- I had no problems getting daily data
- I was able to get daily data on the continuous contract CL ##-## (as well as a bunch of there continuous contracts)

I suggest reverting the mapping to default by:
- terminating NT
- copying <program files>/NinjaTrader6/db/instruments.txt to <my documents>/NinjaTrader6/db/instruments.txt
- starting NT

Got the same problem

I just tried out a few setups and accidentally found the same problem.

My data feed is e*Signal and everytime I switch the timeframe to daily charts, the last candle doesn't get backfilled. It simply shows the range for the time NT6 had loaded the respective instrument. (Tried it out with stocks and futures)

Intraday timeframes work ok, up to the last candle.

Could you give me a hint, whether I missed some settings?!

NT does not record daily backfill data from realtime streaming data -> any daily bar you see as you are connected to eSignal comes from eSignal backfill servers and not from realtime data recorded by NT
