    Market Replay Trading Execution

    Hi support,

    is it possible to store the trades that were made in the market replay mode?
    Unfortunately I don't see any trades in the control center==>summary tab or control center==>executions tab or control center==>trades tab.

    The reason is because I would like to test my strategy in the replay mode and after this a would like to export it into the Market Strategy Analyzer (MSA).
    But therefore I need the stored data.

    Any idea?

    Hello sju10544,

    Unfortunately, you can only generate reports the same session you made the trades.

    Once you are finished trading with the Market Replay, please go to The Account Performance-tab and generate a report for the Replay101 account and you should see your trades.

    If you restart NinjaTrader, unfortunately the trade data is lost.

      Hi Jason,

      thank you for the quik reply. But exact this is my problem. When I go to the Account Performance Tab to generate a report, nothing happens (all cells are unchanged). Also I don't see any trades were made in the other tabs.

      Perhaps it's an error handling or a setup issue...

        Hello sju10544,

        I suggest to restart NinjaTrader.

        Connect to the Market Replay and perform some test trades.

        Go to the Account Performance-tab and click the Advanced>> button and enable the Replay101 account.

        Generate a report and check if results are reflected.

          Jason, that's what I did and I tried it once more with the same result. I can see no trades in any tab. If I trade in SIM mode with a real data connection (SIM 101) it works.

            The Control Center-->Executions-tab will list the executions you make during the Market Replay session. These will disappear once you disconnect.

            The Control Center-->Account Performance-tab will only work when connected to the Market Replay as well. Once you made some trades while connected to the Market Replay, please do not disconnect, but generate a report under the Account Performance-tab for the Replay101 account and it should list your results.

              Sorry about this. But you describe exactly how it should work. I never disconnected the market replay connection. Nevertheless: no trades are listed in the Account Performance area.

              I've tried it on another PC. Same result. Very strange. But if it works on your PC, what could be the reason for this?

                Did you click the 'Generate' button to generate a report? Note that the Account Performance-tab will not automatically update with data.

                    It works on my end, I am not sure why it does not work on yours.

                    Could it be you have additional files located at My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db-->data?

                    Make sure the data folder only contains date folders, which contain only Market Replay data. If additional files are located in any of these folders, it can cause the Market Replay not to function.

                    Do you have the Replay101 account selected when you generate a report?

                      Yes Jason. in the db/data folder are only folders (many of them) in which you can find *.nmt files.

                      And yes, I have selected the Replay101 account to generate a report.
                      But there are other reports selected too (SIM101, 2 ZEN-Fire accounts). But obviously it dosn't matter how many accounts are selected. No report after pushing the GENERATE button.

                      Hmm... have re-installed NT already, after this reset the database and the instruments. Same result.

                            Please try the following. Close NinjaTrader and go to My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db and transfer the NinjaTrader.mdb file outside the folder.

                            Start NinjaTrader (a new database is created) and check if the issue persists.

                            In addition, what type of OS do you have installed; 32 or 64 bit?

                              I have tried as you described, but unfortunately with the same result. I have only the Replay101 account in the "to selected accounts" but I see no trade after I have generating the report.

                              My OS is Vista 32, but I have the same problmes with XP (32bit).
