Questions from newbie

A few questions from a newbie

1) I just created a connection.....works fine, but my "real" account" does not show up. Just a "Sim101" account.

Is this a problem with the provider ? its like it can't see my account.

2) How do I expand the price axis ? I know I can put the mouse in the price area on charts and press a button and pull it up........but it only allows me to expand it to a certain point.

3) To go along with #1. How do I switch from my real account to sim trading ?

4) Chart Trading: how do I click on the chart at a price I want to place an order at ?


5) how do I load data from time before I log on ? The price is blank from anytime before I log on. I need previous data.

Thank you for your post.

1. If you are presently using a Free @SIM license key you will only have access to the Sim101 account. In order to have access to a Live account you would be required to purchase or lease a Live NinjaTrader license key. I have provided a link below to our purchasing page.

2. Unfortunate dragging the chart up and down is not supported at this time but will be available in NinjaTrader 7 which is planned for BETA release at the end of this month.

3. If you have a Live license key input in NinjaTrader you would go to File--->Uncheck Global Simulation Mode

4. You will need to move your cursor to the price-->Left mouse cick and select the order you would like to submit.

5. Please tell me what data provider you are connecting to within NinjaTrader as well as what time interval chart you are loading.

I'm connected using "RCG" - Rosenthal Collins Group. I use tick charts.

Are they not on your list of supported groups ?
I thought that they were, and hence that I'd not have to pay a fee to use Ninja......i could be wrong of course.

I originally loaded a SIM key. Just got account info today..........do i need to delete & start over ?

or can i load a new key ?

Yes, RCG is supported by NinjaTrader. Are you currently using a Patsystems or Zen-Fire connection?

If you are currently using a Patsystems connection unfortunately they do not provided historical data so you will only have access to real time data and your charts will only build while connected.

You will not need to uninstall NinjaTrader in order to switch to your Live license.

To input your Live license key please follow the steps below.

• Help
• License Key
• Input your key->Click Ok
• Restart NinjaTrader
