    Connection order

I've reread the help file a couple of times, am looking for some clarification on the following.

I have data coming in from dtn and IB. Order connection is dtn 1 , IB 2.

On the charts time and sales etc, does all data come from DtN?
Does only DOM data come from IB?

if a developer is using onmarketdata or any other exotic methods where is L1 bid, ask
coming from which data source. Especially if it is a closed DLL where i dont see the code.

What if the dataprovider is lagging in this case DTN where are the bids offers being pulled from?

    best regards

    Hello Eagle,

    Thank you for your post.

While connecting to multiple connections NinjaTrader will pull all available data from the first data provider in this case DTN and the data not available from DTN will be pulled from your second provider IB.

If the data is available from the first connection but is lagging NinjaTrader will continue to pull data as long as this connection is active.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Multiple Connections.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

thanks for your standard answer, could you read my post again, answer the questions or pass it on to someone who can. i read the help file and its not clear to me.

especially when you write data that is not available will be pulled from the second provider, available how, which way, are we talking symbols or the actual quotes???

      edit apologies

you mus have added that after the email came out, think that was what i was after

      thanks

          Hi Eagle,

          Thank you for your reply.

Onmarketdata will request data from the first connection .
If data is not available from the first connection AND a backup connection is configured and connected, onmarketdata would then request from the second connection.
