when I put in a custom strategy (stop ticks etc..) after I enter a trade,It swithes to an ATM strategy automatically , then when I am out of the trade, the window switches back to "custom". I am practice trading with history on TF futures. Is it malfunctioning, or did I set up something wrong?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forum.

This is expected behavior.
You configure your strategy under the '<custom>' item in the ATM Strategy drop down menu.
When an order is submitted, this becomes and Active ATM Strategy.
Upon closing the position, the ATM drop down menu will return to '<custom>'

Thank you for your quick reply Kyle. I forgot to tell you that the sell strategy I put in under custom, is not followed. It sells in 2 or 3 increments instead of all at once. Is there a video I should view to understand this?

I am practicing with a 5 tick target and a 10 tick stop loss. I have a strategy set up for this, and at times have (with custom in the window),clicked the button just above the strategy window, typed in the same strategy as above. When I enter with more than one contract, it seems to activate another strategy. It exits in increments and moves the stop automatically with the second and third exits.

Are you using a stop strategy in this ATM strategy?

All I am doing is setting in 5 ticks for the target, and 10 in the stop window. I am not setting a specific stop strategy other than that. I am not at my computer with ninja on it, so I may have to contact you when I get home.

When you have a chance, please confirm that the Stop Strategy drop down menu for all targets associated with this strategy are set to '<none>'.
