    re: Partial fills..

If a trader has an ATM strategy with a quantity of 20, where there are 3 targets (Target 1 if for a quantity of 5 contacts, Target 2 is for 5 contracts, and Target 3 is for 10 contracts, each Target has it's own exit location, and trailing stop instructions), and this strategy gets a partial fill of 7 contracts. My question is: how does a partial execution fill? Do the Target 1 contracts get filled until the quantity is met and then it fills all the Target 2, etc.. i.e. in my example of a partial fill of 7, then 5 contracts will follow the custom exit location, and trailing stop instructions of Target 1, and 2 of the contracts will follow the instructions of Target 2? Is that correct?

    Thanks..

sev888, this is correct in your example if the trade 'takes off' which only 7 of 20 filled, 5 will be exited at target 1 and 2 at target 2, obvioulsy none are left and placed for target 3.
