Failed DB

    Failed DB

    On connecting Zen Fire the following sequence takes place:

    1. "Failed to execute DB job a/c update job"
    2.I disconnect ZF
    3.Clicking Reset DB produces: "Failed to compact...restore manually"

    Last time I reinstalled NJ. Now the problem is back. Any idea why this happens? If you think manual restoration will work can you tell me how to do this. Naturally I'd like to fix this on a permanent basis.

    Thank you for your post.

    Please rename your database.

    To rename the DB:
    • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
    • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB-->NinjaTrader.MDB.
    • Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
    • Name it "OldNinjaTrader.MDB."
    • Then restart the software

    Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

      Thx for quick reply. However after sequence Ninja Trader6.5>db there is no file or folder Ninja Trader.MDB. Only choices are:

        Sorry post went off too soon, in the folder NT 6.5>db there are only these folders/files:data; export; import; Ninjatrader; Ninjatrader.Old.

          Hello chrisp,

          Please delete the file labeled NinjaTrader.Old-->next rename the existing NinjaTrader file OldNinjaTrader-->Restart NinjaTrader

            Done but no data coming thru on time bars ("Please wait...Saving")
            Control panel has data
            Tick charts have data
            I've tried "Reload Historical data"

              Please close all your open workspaces by going to the Control Panel-->File-->Workspaces-->Close Workspace

              After you have closed all workspaces please create a new workspace by going to the Control Center-->File-->Workspaces-->New Workspace

              Within the new workspace please open a new chart with no template or indicators applied and let me know if the issue persists.

                Data coming thru on new w/s>new chart (10 min chart with no indicators)

                Does this mean I should get rid of all old charts & start from new?

                  Yes, it appears that something within your other workspace is corrupt and you will need to recreate.
