    Connecting to IB

I installed NT 6.5 in my new computer and followed this IB connection guide - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...ivebrokers.htm

But when I try to connect via NT i get this Message "Login failed IB Adapter MessageLoop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused 127.0.0.1:7496"

    Please explain how to correct.
    Thanks

    Hello designer,

Can you please remove your current IB connection via Tools-->Account Connections. Recreate a brand new connection as per the IB connection guide at the link below.

Make sure you setup the TWS API settings as per the instructions as well.

Check if the connection error persists.

I have the same problem. Recreating a new brand connection didn't help.
      Any other suggestions?

        Hello Jim2512Trader,

Please ensure you have TWS version 895 installed as per the IB connection guide at the link below.

Did you check the TWS API settings?

Have you checked the API settings in TWS?

Could it be your IB username and password are tied to a white labeled version of TWS?

Didn't understand your question. Could you elaborate?

Some login credentials for TWS are provided by a third party company, which converts TWS to a white labeled version. Such a connection is not supported in NinjaTrader.

Please see the forum thread below for more information.

Can you please send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com and refer to this post. Then include your IB username and password so we can test the connection on our end.
