Two optimization questions

Question 1
When I try to optimize my strategy, I get this error msg: There are no optimization results available since the strategyhas no parameters to optimize.

In the parameter list, I have the following four parameters set to optimize:
p05_LE Buffer Ticks 0;10;1
p06_SE Buffer Ticks 0;10;1
p07_LX Buffer Ticks 0;10;1
p08_SX Buffer Ticks 0;10;1

Question 2
When I place a trade on the Gain Capital platform, I use, for example, 1 lot for quantity. When the executed trade displays, it shows 100000 as quantity.

In the parameter list, when optimizing through a Gain Sim101 account, should I use 1 or 100000?

You will need to use 100000.

Thanks for the quick response.

I don't understand your answer to the parameter optimiztion question. When you say "select different parameter values", what does that mean?

The parameters in question are buffer values. The optimization is set to test 0 to 10, in steps of 1, for each of the four buffer values.

What are you suggesting that I do?

My apologies, I did not saw the difference in Min and Max value. I assumed you used one parameter per parameter option.

I am not sure if buffer values can be used as optimization parameters.

What happens if you optimize the SampleMACrossOver strategy; do you receive the same error message?
