What is the difference between accepted and working order status?

When calling NTOrderStatus(orderid), the function might return "Accepted" or "Working". According to the NT document, "Accepted" means "Order confirmation received by broker", while "Working" means "Order confirmation received by exchange". Is it true that for exchange native order "Accepted" is only a transient status and changes to "Working" in no time, while for all other order types simulated on broker server, the status returns is always "Accepted"? Is there a status transition diagram available depicting all possible scenarios?

    Clearpicks,

Ultimately, either the accepted or working state means the order is outside the control of NinjaTrader for the most part. Unfortunately there is no diagram. It is just Submit -> Accept -> Working -> Filled.

There could be very rare situations where an order that would have normally went to Working gets stuck at Accepting, all of which is outside the control of NinjaTrader though. Something could have happened on the brokerage end.
