Save drawing & notes?

Is it possible to save the drawing in chart?

I sometimes accidentally closed the chart and all the drawing and notes I have on the chart are gone.

Yes, this is possible by saving your workspace. Please go to File-->Workspaces-->Save Workspace. The chart with drawing objects will now be saved part of the workspace.

Is it possible to save workspace to always save and auto save?

Unfortunately not, however you will be prompted to save your workspaces when you exit the software.
