Triggering orders in live trade account

I purchased NinjaTrader license for my IB account last week and followed the installation steps in the link provided in the email. I started trading on Monday using my automated strategy by taking the following steps:
    1. I connect to my live trade account
    2. I launched new chart for the stock I want to trade
    3. I click the strategy button to add new strategy and set parameters, then clicked OK
    4. A few minutes after market open, I heard audio announcing order filled
    5. I checked IB and see no new position. I check Ninja and see position for Sim101 account.
    6. I checked the connection and I was connected to my live trade IB account
    7. I checked the Tools/Options/ATI/General and the default account is my IB account.
What have I missed? Please advise. Tks!

    Hi marchrooster,

    Thank you for your post.

It is likely that when applying the strategy, you did not select your live IB account.

can you more specific? Does that mean I have to click the Apply button then OK? Or there is some other setting I have to change to point to my IB account? How do I select my IB account when I apply the strategy?

        Hi marchrooster,

        Thank you for your reply.

When you add the strategy, a window where you can select a strategy and define strategy parameters will load. On the right side of that window, you can select which account to use.

Please see the attached image for an example of where to find this.

          Kyle,
Thanks for the prompt reply and I see the Account. However, when I open the chart and get to the General/Account line, its shows Sim101 and there is no selector to the right of the field. The entire line is grayed out. I tried changing it but it won't let me. What do I do now?

            Hi marchrooster,

            Thank you for your reply.

From the Control Center, click File and uncheck (and therefore disable) Global Simulation Mode.

After disabling Global Simulation Mode, you should be able to select your live account.

              Kyle,
I unchecked that after I installed the new license. I checked again and it is unchecked.

                Hi marchrooster,

                Thank you for your reply.

Please restart NinjaTrader, reconnect to IB, uncheck Global Simulation Mode again and see if you can access the account.

If you cannot access the account, please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com and add "ATTN: Kyle" to the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) Your license key. (Help > About)
3.) The version of Interactive Brokers' TWS you are running.

                  Kyle,
Thanks for your instructions. I checked my TWS version again and even I swear I downloaded as per instruction on Ninja's support page for installation, the version I have is 897. I re-downloaded and re-installed 895, and then log back in, and I see my live trade account is now available under the General tab for selection. Thanks for staying with me.

I just went to IB's website, and apparently build 895 is not available there, as it's more than two versions old.

Is there an alternate source for this build?

                      Thanks.
