Corrupt workspace?

I currently cannot get Ninja Trader to start. Each time, it reaches a point where it says it is restoring a certain workspace and it just hangs.

I've tried repair and re-install but it still hangs at the same point. Can I remove the offending workspace and then restart? I would prefer not to lose the current contents of the workspace if possible, but if it's the only solution then what would be the procedure?

Thank you for your post.

Please rename your database. With this procedure you will need to recreate any ATM Strategies you have saved at this time.

To rename the DB:

• Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
• Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
• Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
• Name it "OldNinjaTrader.MDB."
• Then restart the software.

Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

Hi Christopher,

It took a couple of attempts (the first seemed to hang on restoring account connections), but it's now OK. Looks like I have to recreate the Instrument lists as well as the ATM strategies, but fortunately I didn't have too many defined.

I would recommend doing this frequently - my workspaces corrupt weekly.
