Chnage stop of target 2 based on the fill of target 1

Hi there,

I trying to setup an ATM with 2 cars.

Suppose I get in long with 2 cars

When the first cars target is reached, AND the actual order is filled, only then do I want to move the stop of the remaining car (with a higher target).

Now the stop of the second target is chnanged whenever the first target is reached but not based on the fact if that first car was actually sold at the target.

Can this be done.?

Thank you for your post.

To do this you would create a two target strategy, and on the second target you would create stop strategy where the profit trigger is the same value (in ticks) as the value where your first target is filled.

However, there is no way to link the move of the stop based on the fill of the first target, only on a price move.

Change request

That kinda sucks ;-)

I only want to move a stop of the second car, based on the FILL of the first car. That sounds very logical to me. Cause once filled, you can reduce the risk of your trade.

Is this something that you would deem logical too, and consider entering as a change request?

You can manually move the stop once the first target is filled. However, I will forward your suggestion to automate this process to development for inclusion on the list of possible future enhancements to NinjaTrader. Thank you for your suggestion.
