    Different Chart by "Days back"

    hi,

i have a strange problem by changing the settings for "Days back" in the "Format Data Series"-menu.

Changing the settings from 1 to 2 days back or other values produces different charts with different number of ticks (on the indicator you can it see good in the pics or also by viewing the bars).

It is not only in secondcharts, also in renko.

What can i do? Thx in advance.

Pics showing 1 Day back and the other pic 2.

    Hello ronner,

Can you please tell me what data feed provider you connect to in NinjaTrader.

Most likely, it uses a different source for historical data. Different sources can have discrepancies. One chart displays the real-time data you received, while the other chart displays historical data.

okay, but it is only one chart. Ever i change the "Days back" values i get a different picture regardless how often i change it.

Note that as a courtesy we allow Zen-Fire users to make use of our historical data server, which can differ from the real-time data received by Zen-Fire.

This must be the difference you experience.

Please see the forum thread regarding the same issue.

I don´t know, reloading the historical data as described in the link is without problems.

Only changing the days back produces a different chart - from 1 to 5 days back have each of them a own chart look.

My realtime tick filter is set to 0,5 %. Should i increasing this or have you another idea?

          Thank you for your support.

Can you please reload historical data in both or all charts. Subsequently check if the historical data is reflected the same.

Reloading historical data shows the same chart look as previos.

I have set for example two 89s charts.

The first i set to "Days back" 1 and the second to "Days back" 5. After reloading historical data looks the "Days back" 5 chart differently to the 1 chart.

Are you sure, because when I reload historical data in both charts on my end, all historical data is the same?

                  Yes, reloading are without effect.

The problem what you mean i had some time ago. After set the Bad-Tick Filter to 0,5% it is okay.

But the problem with the days back is new. When i set the charts both auf Days back 1 (or both 3 or 4) they looks equal. Do i set the Days back different so are the chart also different. I can open 5 charts from 1-5 Days back and i get 5 different looks - strange or ?

I cannot reproduce this issue on my end when I reload historical data for all charts consecutively. Please right click in each chart and select 'Reload Historical Data'. Do this for each chart in a row. All historical data should now be the same, since they are loaded from one source.

                      sorry, but this didn´t work.

I will do reinstall Ninjatrader and hope it works after. Perhaps there are a skript problem or similar.

                          Jason, Iam frustrated.

I deleted NT and installed fresh. After i connected to GAIN and the chart looks also different.

Left chart is Days back 1, right Days back 5. Both 89s and the ticks and indicators on the chart looks differently.

I think the problem is that each chart starts at different time (few seconds difference). Try to put BarTimer on each and see.

                              Hello ronner,

I was able to reproduce the difference now as well upon using a chart that use a look back period of 5 days and one chart that uses 1 day.

Can you please test a 150 tick interval in the charts as well. Does the difference persists.

It seems to be related to the seconds interval somehow. I suggest to make use of the same look back period of 5 days for each chart.
