Moving NT to a new laptop

Hey there - I tried searching for this but couldn't find much on it. I've got a new laptop and I'm moving over all of my stuff - including NT - are there any instructions as to the best way to do this?

Thank you for your post.

Yes you can actually do this by creating a Backup of your current configuration and Restore this onto the other PC. Please follow my directions below.

Go to the Control Center-->File-->Utilities-->Backup

Check all the items you would like to backup
Run Backup

To send this backup you can locate the backup file by going to My Documents-->NinjaTrader. The backup file will be listed with the date the backup was created. Save this Backup on the other PC somewhere that is easy to access.

Launch NinjaTrader-->Go to the Control Center-->File-->Utilities-->Restore

Locate the Backup file
Click Open

Will this procedure also copy the third party add=in licensing tokens? If not, what is the procedure for that?

No, it does not. If you like to installl third party software on a second PC, please inform the third party vendor and provide them your machine ID (Help-->About) of the new PC.

Once they authorized it, please install the third party software on the second PC.
