OIF and erors

If there is an error in the line , contained in the OIF file. Will the OIF file still be deleted?

Does the OIF file get deleted before the PUF file is created/updated?

Trying to nail down the sequence of events.

Ok. Then how would I go about detecting an error situation where NT rejects the OIF?

My understanding is that one could have a PUF file that could contain information on a strategy that is no longer running. Or, does the PUF file get deleted by NT when the strategy is no longer running?

An error situation will only occure if the format of the OIF is incorrect. This should be tested before trading live. Once the format is correct, there will be no OIF errors. The PUF updates only when a position relative to a strategy changes. It could be flat and then long if a new strategy for that particular instrument is updated.

Would it be safe to assume, for the PUF, that if the direction is FLAT and the Average Fill Price Exit is NOT zero, then the strategy is no longer running on NT?

Yes, the strategy is complete.
