Is there a method to step through tick by tick or bar bar when running a backtest and watch the chart dynamically create?

Unfortunately not. You have two options available to you though. You can try creating a multi-time frame strategy that uses tick time frames or use the Market Replay feature which is essentially a playback of the market and you can speed up that playback at 500x. I recommend the replay feature as it will imitate live trading the best.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service
