Chart Trader

I can't seem to get chart trader to work. The chart trader button on my chartis greyed out, and no chart trader option under chart properties.



How do i enable chart trader on the sim101 account?

- right click on chart->show chart trader ->True
- you should see chart trade panel right hand of the chart
- if you got the chartrader maximize button on top right coner of chart chart -> click on it
- rigth click on chart trader panel to set furtehr properties

You are likely running a strategy on your chart. The chart trader icon will be grayed out (disabled) when running a strategy.

My Chart trader instrument window is greyed out. BUT the instrument window in the SuperDom is functional and it can take trades. How do I get the chart trader instrument window to be functional?

The only time the Instrument drop down menu will be selectable is if you are using a chart with multiple data series. When using a chart with a single data series to toggle between instruments please select the instrument from the Instrument drop down menu in the upper left corner of the chart.

Thanks for the reply, Sorry but I don't know about multiple data series. I don't want to change the instrument. With the chart trader instrument window grayed out I am not able to take trades from the chart trader. The mouse will not show the arrow pointer but it turns into a small horizontal line with arrow
arrow heads at either end.

Thank you for the clarification. Please close NinjaTrader then go to Documents->NinjaTrader 8->Rename the file "UI.xml" to "UIOld.xml" then open NinjaTrader and let me know if you see the same behavior.

Thanks for the reply. I had already closed then opened NT8. That seemed to do the trick
