Where are the ATM strategies stored?

Is it possible to restore a SINGLE ATM strategy?

ATM strategy templates are stored within the NinjaTrader database.

Can you elaborate on restoring an ATM strategy?

overwrote

I overwrote one of the standard ATM strategies by mistake and wanted to restore it back to what it was.

As a software developer....it would make sense to either use the database for everything, or just for the data only.

It would be good to able to restore selected discrete objects.

Thank you for your reply.

I suggest creating a backup of your settings periodically. Should this ever happen again, you would have the backup to roll-back to.

It is MY opinion that this is the worst way to store ATM strategies. They should be in a template folder of some kind!

yes, but the backup and restore does not allow individual strategies to be recovered.....

I do a Ninja backup every few days....and I also back up the Ninja templates and workspace directories. I wish you had a directory for strategies instead of storing it in the database.

What else do you store in the database besides the historical data and the strategies?

Thank you for your reply.

Correct, backup and restore will restore the entirety of the database. You will not be able to select individual components to restore.

The database includes ATM strategy data, historical trade and execution data, historical chart data, ATM strategies and a number of other NinjaTrader settings such as custom instrument lists.
