    Ninja Peformance

I am running some tests and have quite a few charts open. I have like an s&p500 1 min and 50 tick and a djia 1 min and 50 tick along wih my noral charts.

Ninja works fine and keeps up but was curious does the amount/length of history I keep for a chart have any performance impact even if I am only looking at a small portion in the chart. I wasn't sure it if it made all history data memory resident for the extent history exists.:?

I like keeping the history and have lots of disk space but keep it small becuase I thought it would mave a negative impact on run time peformance.

In general you should keep your chart lookback period as short as possible to avoid unnecessary mem usage. Also it takes more CPU cycles as indicators are calculated initially for the whole historical series.

Size of the series has no impact on indicator updates triggered by realtime data though.
