I have a bad habit of alt-tabbing (or using my virtual desktop manager) too quickly... and I end up typing text into boxes they aren't supposed to go into.
This is only a REAL problem when I happen to type something into the control center's symbol textbox. NinjaTrader then tries to resolve this unknown symbol... and I don't know how long I should wait until it comes back, but it's not on the order of minutes. The UI thread is just completely locked up, making it impossible for me to cancel the request. The last time it came back, it was only my strategy in the background placed an order that seemed to kick it out of the funk.
Is anyone aware of a fix or work-around? I hate to kill the NinjaTrader process, I'm always afraid of breaking my broker connection.
