    unble to 'verify licence'

    Hi
    is there a common reason for getting the 'unable to verify licence' message when attempting connection? My internet is slow today perhaps that has something to do with it..or can it be at NT's end? As it stands I cannot log in.

    lindsayf, yes this is most likely related to your ISP connection or firewall issues - please try another connection if you can or set your firewall(s) to a min filter set and retry.

      why

      I have no other connection.and firewall is set to minimum....I dont understand why this occurs..Isnt it simple data matching? I can log into the support forum..why cant a simple data matching process happen so that I can trade today? What is the licence verification process?

        lindsayf, it verifies you're using a valid license key, this check is done by connecting to our license verification servers (which are up and running fine). Depending on your ISP there could be an issue with one of their backbones connecting to us, have you tried contacting them and asking if there are any pending network issues currently?

          yes I phoned them..I am in Australia..I spoke to a fellow in India..he wasnt sure what the problem was but suspects an isp issue...might have the day(night) off hey!

              ...because different backbones could be used by your ISP to access the servers and our sites. So accessing one URL does not imply you should be able to access all.

                ground hog day

                happening identically to yesterday. Everything working fine until an hour ago..now everything slow and i cant verify my NT licence. Yesterday the issue spontaneoulsy resolved just before market open. ??

                      hi..what is the "back door code" that is prompted for under

                      Help/Licence key

                      when the Ninjatrader servers cannot be reached?

                        lindsayf, this could be related to your firewall settings, please disable the firewall, reenter the license key and see if it's taken.

                          it has randomly resolved again..same time as yesterday..are you sure there are no problems with NT servers making them unavailable until now? I have been able to access any website..but not the NT servers?

                            lindsayf, I'm not aware of issues with the NinjaTrader license servers.

                              could you please check..as I need to isolate the problem. I assume the servers are designed to be accessible 24 hrs a day..they would have to be or I am sure you would have a lot of unhappy customers.
