Live trading works on v.6.5.1000.9 but not on v.6.5.1000.11

    Live trading works on v.6.5.1000.9 but not on v.6.5.1000.11

    I have NT 6.5.1000.9 with Mirus/ZenFire live trading working fine on my laptop. I also have NT 6.5.1000.11 also set up with the same Mirus/ZenFire account on a desktop PC, but it won't let me trade live, even though the splash screen and the Help About screen says it's licensed for live trading. For example, in the DOM or chart trader screens, the option to select an account to trade is greyed out, and the Sim account is selected by default.

    Any ideas? I sent an email to support a week or two ago but didn't get a response so I thought I'd try the forums.

    Hello,

    You can't use a live license simultaniously on two different platforms. You will need two live licenses or just one in sim only and one in live mode.

      Two platforms? You mean two separate machines? Or two different versions of NT (6.5.1000.9 and 6.5.1000.11)?

        Hello,

        Both machines should have 6.5.1000.11 on them so you are on the most recent version. Always run the most recent version for the best results.

        For the machine you are having issues with, go to File and make sure Global Simulation Mode is unchecked.

        For the live licenses, you can only use one live key on one computer at a time. You can use it on multiple computers, but not simultaniously. The version number of NT makes no difference.

          I had global simulation mode checked on, that was it! I don't even know why that was on. I understand the simultaneous running instances constraint, thanks again. I'll get my .9 instance upgraded to .11
