Is there a way to get it to plot for the current session only instead of by how many bars are on the screen in total?

Unfortunately that is not supported within the default indicator.
As a workaround, you could change the # of bars back under Format Data Series(right click in Chart) to match the # of bars in the current session.Ray S.NinjaTrader Customer Service
