Mixed Exchange Symbol Lists

I want to import a symbols list that contains AMEX, NYSE, and NASDAQ stocks, but the “Traded On” selection box is single select. I already have symbol lists for the AMEX, NYSE, and NASDAQ imported in their entirety. Can I import mixed symbol ists that contain smaller subsets of these larger lists that are combined?

I'm not sure I understand you.
You can change names, exchanges, definitions and mapping all you want. Just name the stock something else so you know the difference.

I probably need clarification on what you want.

I have a few strategies that I want to backtest against a dozen or two stocks on the NYSE, NASDAQ, an AMEX. So I will be running backtests and optimizations on say about 3 to 9 dozen stocks from different exchanges. I just wan to know if I can create an instrument list with all of these stocks even though they are on different exchanges. From the import symbols list dialog you can only pick one exchange for the symbols list you are importing.

Hello Erik,

You can create such instrument lists once you imported all stocks via the stock lists import function.

Go to Tools-->Instrument Manager and create a new instrument list and add the stocks to your liking.
