Forex codes, esignal, and how to display them properly

    Hi,
esignal allows to separate feed from various forex contributors as seen here:

For example, of you want to display data from FXCM only for GBPEUR you type as symbol:

    GBPEUR@FXCM A0-FX

    It works fine.
However, it's different when you want to get data involving USD currency, you must not type USD, for example if you want to get EURUSD you type:

    EUR@FXCM A0-FX

However when I type this, chart displays badly as if feeds miss quotes.

From other programs that also accept esignal feed, when I type EUR@FXCM A0-FX, chart is different than what I get with ninjatrader.

Any reason for this ? Anyway to solve this ?

    Thanks,
    Duval

    Hi Duval,

I'm not sure if this will work. I'll have someone test this scenario later this morning. We will you let the outcome then.

Thanks. Just tell them it does work perfectly for non USD currency pairs, it does display something.... but in the specific case where USD currency is involved, such as EUR@FXCM A0-FX (you must not type usd, as esignal states it), it displays the chart, but very different than what you get when you type same thing in other prodcuts that support esignal data. It's as if the historical data you pull on small time frame intraday data misses some ticks.

        Hello Duval,

Please change your mapping for the EURUSD within NinjaTrader with the steps I have provided below.
        • Disconnect from your eSignal connection within NinjaTrader
        • Control Center
        • Tools
        • Instrument Manager
        • Search for EURUSD
        • Select EURUSD
        • Edit
        • Misc. tab
        • Symbol map-->ESignal
        • Input EUR@FXCM A0-FX I have also provided a screen shot below of the setting I am referring to.
        • Click Ok
        • Click on the $EURUSD in your Default list to the left
        • Click the > arrow to remove
        • Select the EURUSD in the Available master instrument window
        • Click the < arrow to add back to your Default list
Please let me know if this does the trick.
