Range Bars

Hi, I am have a problem using range bars in that if I log out of NT and then log back in at a later time, the chart is simply filled in with synthetic bars that connect the price from when I logged out to the price when I log back in. Is there any way I can get accurate range bars for the times when I am not logged in, or do I just have to stay connected all the time?

Chris Finn, with the standard Range bars and a feed without tick backfill capability this would be expected unfortunately - which feed or broker are you using when you see this happening?

OK Bertrand tks for your quick reply. I use Interactive brokers and I see that they dont backfill tick data so that solves the mystery for me. Thanks again
