    Ib L2 & Nt

    Hi

    I am having trouble getting NT L2 to work correctly with IB (Totalview, ARCA & L2).

    In the NT L2 window (using MSFT), I only get a small portion of the orders compared to what I see in the IB screens. I have ensured that I am using TWS 892.7 & NT is version 6.5.1000.11.

    I have seen some other posts on the topic, but they did not contain the answer.

    Appreciate your assistance on this.

    Thank you for your post.

    Can you provide me with the steps I would need to take to recreate this on my end?

    Also, I'm not sure which threads you're referring to. Could you provide a link?

      Hi Kyle

      The steps I took were:

      1. Launched TWS (I have a Totalview and ARCA subscription),
      2. Launched Market Depth in TWS (displaying Totalview, ARCA & Other),
      3. Launched NT and connected to IB,
      4. Launched a level II window in NT, selecting MSFT from the NASDAQ 100 list,
      5. compared TWS Mkt Depth with NT Level II.

          Hello NIKI01,

          Could you please try the following.

          In NinjaTrader, go to Tools-->Instrument Manager and remove the MSFT from your instrument list.

          Highlight the MSFT in the 'Available master instruments' section and click Edit.

          Enable the following exchanges:
          • Default
          • Nasdaq
          • Arca
          • Island
          Click Ok and add the updated instrument to your instrument list.
          Compare the Level II once more and check if it will make a difference.

            I tried the Instrument Master updates as suggested, however, no difference still having the same issue.

              Hello NIKI01,

              Can you please assign only the Default and Island exchanges and check again.

              Let me know if this will not work.

                      What Level II data do you currently display in NinjaTrader?

                      Do you display only Totalview Level II data?

                      In addition, please tell me what instrument you just tested.

                        I only see Nasdaq data in NT. I do NOT see all the other MM or exchanges that are present in the IB Level II.

                        I tested with Island only last week using MSFT and it did not work.
