Patsystems: "Group state doesn't allow this function"

Hi,

I'm playing with a Patsystems connection. I'm able to trade various NYBOT softs with it.

I tried to place an order for CME: ZS (Soybean). The order was rejected with error message "Group state doesn't allow this function."

Any suggestions?

What type of order was it?

I suggest to check with your broker to make sure the exchange accepts the type of order you placed.

It was a limit day, buy order.

Most likely this error is coming from the broker or exchange and they will have more information.

a) This is an error message coming from your broker. You would need to clarify with your broker
b) I vaguely recall that this might be a combination of TIF + order type + exchange which you broker might not support. However, I'm not sure.
