I am running a very basic rule that I built in NT it is a RSI rule that if it breaks through 70 it gets short and vice versa on the long side at 30. This morning when i started it at 9:45 one of the positions I was running instantaneously entered into the short even though it was not supposed to but the other position that I was running did nothing. Can you please explain the reason for one to do one thing and the other to do something completely different.

In order to determine what happened, could you please post the code to your strategy? There are quite a few ways strategies could go wrong, and without code it will be challenging to assist you. If you don't want to share it with the world you could just PM me.

This is pure speculation without your code, but maybe your entry condition was true as you started the strategy? If you have a condition that says buy if RSI < 30, it would get long anytime RSI < 30, not just when it crosses 30.
