Can cross hair mode show the time beyond the current time?

For example, now is 9:45, if I move the mouse to the point of 10:24, the cross hair still shows 9:45 at the horizontal axis. I don't understand why not to show the time that the mouse is pointing at, even it is beyond the current time.

This is as expected. The cross hair's label will show up to the current time only.
