Timeframe change vs. active strategy with active trades

Hi,
I run a strategy on 5min chart, it enters a trade, then I change the timeframe, on the new timeframe there is no trade yet (that is matter of course), when I click back to original timeframe in the very same window, the strategy does not see the previous trade (it is not shown on the chart, while it is the same window and timeframe).

I want the strategy to find and manage the trade it entered previously. I could do it manually, but how to assign an existing trade to a strategy (= to be managed by the strategy).

I have to find a solution to this since it may happen a computer resets while I have active trades and then I don't know how to manage the positions, I need system to take care of it.
