Historical data?

I have imported daily bar data to use for strategy development/ back-testing, I want to get rid of that data and import minute bars instead so I can do some multi timeframe testing/development. How do I replace the daily historic data with minute data? I already have the files for import, but I did not want to mess up the data since I already have daily data for the same symbols. I do not want to do it individually per instrument, because I have data for the entire NASDAQ composite to replace.

Hello Erik,

Thank you for your post.

You can not replace historical daily data with historical minute data as they use different a .txt formats.

You can import your historical minute data as well if you wish and it will not affect your current histoical daily data.

If I pull up say a weekly chart and it is for a time period that has had daily and minute data loaded will NT use the daily or minute data that has been uploaded to build the chart?

What happens if I load historical minute data for a month timeframe and it has a small overlap of a few days with the previous data I loaded? Will this cause a problem or will the last few days of previously loaded data just get overwritten?
