NT7 Release questions

Can we install both Ninja, 6.5 and 7.0, on the same pc to test? and of course run one at a time...

You can have both installed on the same machine. You can start NT7 after Nt6.5 but not NT6.5 after NT7.

Historically our beta duration has been two to three months so we would expect to be in production in the early part of 2010.

Quick question? I remember reading that Ninja 7 will use the latest PATS adapter. In terms of reconnecting once disconnect, NINJA 6.5 tells me that I have to restart to connect back to a PATS connection once dropped. Is this still the case with NInja 7, using the new PATS connector? Thanks.

You still needed to restart NT after MANUAL disconnect. However, the Pats API should re-establish a broken connection (as it should with NT6.5) -> connection DROPs should be recovered with NT6.5 yet

this issue does happen.

For me it was the final straw which saw me cancel my NT licence (following on from PFG connectivity issues as reported in incident # 178523 - which also remain unresolved).

Once these issues have been addressed (and NT7 is released) I will probably renew my subcription or get a lifetime licence....

Unfortunately that issue is beyond our control. We'll see how the latest Pats API will work in that regard...

PATS Adapter

OK will look monitor the connection and see how it performs.

PATS reconnect really was the weakest, compared to Zenfire and IqFeed reconnect ability. PATS would normally have a disconnect, and kill itself. The other would reconnect back fine.

We monitor version 6.5.13, and see how it performs.

In the list of what is changing in NT 7, it says you are using a new grid technology, and a new database engine. I was just curious as to what grid technology and what database engine you are using. Perhaps it is a trade secret, but, I'm thinking this is something you'd probably share. Guess it can't hurt to ask.
