system beep on chart load

How do i turn this off? I didn't see the option in options -> sounds

Hello tortexal,

Could it be your chart contains a strategy or indicator that generates a sound when certain conditions are met?

By default there should not be a sound when loading a chart or creating a new chart.

Could it be you experienced an error that caused the sound. I suggest to check the Log-tab for such errors.

its weird, none of the indicators are anything out of the ordinary and none call upon a sound to be played. If i load up a regular default chart, no beep. Anything else is a beep. But no errors in the logs either or the diagnostic tab.

I noticed you received an error message that stated:

Error in requesting historical data from IB. No security definition has been found.

The error occurs when requesting data for the AMNZ. Are you able to receive data for this instrument in TWS?

If so, please go to the Instrument Manager in NinjaTrader and check if the AMNZ is setup correctly. Highlight the AMNZ in the 'Available master instruments' section and click Edit.

yes the AMNZ should have beeped bc i typed the ticker in wrong, AMZN is the correct ticker. here is a better vid:

I see, you switch instruments by typing the stock symbol. Unfortunately this sound is as expected.

This beep is driving me MAD. I'm going to go through every system sound until I find this alert. After you hear it 500 or so times a day it starts to play tricks on your mind. I'm hearing it while shopping and watching movies. I can't live like this! Someone put me out of my misery!

PS: If you know the alert name or file, it would save me some time.
