    EST instead of local time?

Is there any way to have all times be shown in EST instead of local time?

If not, will this be possible in NT7.

Doc69, for NinjaTrader 6.5 you would need to change your local set PC clock to reflect the times you want to be used on the charts. Then restart your PC and download a fresh set of data in new timezone setting (Tools > Historical Data > Reload).

NinjaTrader 7 will offer a Session Manager that will simplify this.

Will this require a dump of all data? Say I have been saving data for a while and DTN only allows 30 days of tic data.

When NT7 comes out, and the ability to switch time zones happens, will I loose or have all previous data off an hour?

forrestang, welcome to the forums! No, since you will not be switching timezones, but use / setup custom sessions for different symbols to reflect this.

          Thanks,

But for a followup. Is there anyway to change the timezone on all my charts to EST? I live in CST, but really wished all my charts reflected EST.

Yes, you would need to change your local PC time zone setting then.

I trade two instruments - the FESX (Berlin) and the ES (S&P).

At some stages of the trading day I may trade these markets at the same time.

How do I show local Berlin time on the FESX chart while at the same time showing EST on the ES chart?

If not possible under 6.5, will it be possible under 7?

PS: I live in New Zealand

steve2222, welcome to our forums! Unfortunately not, in NinjaTrader 7 you can create session templates for your custom timezones, but on the charts those times would be converted to your local set PC timezone then for display.

                  Thanks Bertrand,

I guess I would have to support the call of other posters to this forum and suggest that this is a weakness of NT ie the inability to trade more than one geographic market at the same time and have both charts showing the local market time.

In support of other posters, if we use a data feed that time stamps (eg ZenFire) why can we not have the option for charts to display using this time rather than PC time?

                  Thanks for you consideration.

steve2222, thank you for the suggestion - charts would always be displayed in the local set PC timezone, regardless if you use a natively timestamped data source or not.
