Accessing properties of a chart

I would like to write a strategy which can access properties of a chart other than the chart that it is running on. So for example the strategy is running on chart A but I want to access properties of chart B. I realise that for example in a multitimeframe strategy I can add another dataseries in addition to the primary series but this is not what I'm after.

Is this possible?

Hi mballagan, would you please clarify what you have in mind by 'accessing properties of Chart B' ? - you could of course also add another symbol or another symbol's timeframe in a MultiInstrument strategy, the concept is the same as when you work with multiple time frames of the same instrument.

Point and Figure

The problem is that I'm not using a standard bar chart but a point & figure plugin. So for example chart A is based on a 2 pip box size and chart B on a 5 pip box size for the same currency pair. So I would like to access the bars on chart B from a strategy running on chart A but these are not the same as normal dataseries bars.

mballagan, ok then I would suggest contacting the vendor of the P&F plugin and ask if their bartype can be used like you had in mind in a multitime strategies context.
