Can't use Sim101

On the control center Orders tab the account is grayed out... I looked around and can't find what would cause that... I had it working on another machine today then I moved my trading operation to a new machine and I can't use Sim101.

sim101 should always be there. Are you connected to your data feed?

What happens when you open a new SuperDOM when connected to IB in NinjaTrader? What account is listed in the SuperDOM?

Can you please tell me if you are using a live license or the free license with NinjaTrader.

What happens if you submit an order with the greyed out sim101 account selected in a NinjaTrader order entry window?

Free license.

In the SuperDOM window it's grayed out.

I can place orders from the order entry window however. Maybe it's working fine really. I'm writing some strategies, I'll see if they can talk to Sim101.......

I made a strategy with one line of code

EnterLong(1);

It does not get placed with Sim101.

Please try the 'SampleMACrossOver' on the Sim101 account - it just get placed if you are connected live - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...romAChart.html

Of couse it would only get placed to your IB live / paper account when using a live license key.

Cool, I can test strats on Market Replay data... the sample moving average program is placing orders, historical on the screen and realtime ones are showing up in Sim101..

Thanks for the help. I always have trouble starting a project..

I want to make a strategy for managing entries the same way ATM"s bracket exits, it's very easy apparently, I just have to have it not operate on historical data...
