Getting older contract data

I recall reading somewhere that to get older contract data like 03-07, 06-07, 09-07 etc, that i need to:

(I am using zen-fire demo)

1) close NT,
2) set my PC clock to an older time,
3) restart NT
4) add the older contracts into the instrument list
5) ??? NOW can i close NT and reset my PC clock to the current time then restart NT and have the older contract data?
6) ??? OR do i need to use NT with my PC set to the older time?

At what point does NT download from zen-fire the older contract data?
Anyone know the current limits to the data ie. 2006 or 2005 or earlier?

Hello anothertoy,

You can close NinjaTrader and reset your PC clock to the current time. The change of time is only needed to be able to select expiry months not available when using the current time.

Unfortunately I am not sure regarding the historical data limit, I suggest to test this on your end and check how much historical data you can retrieve.
