    chart compression

Let's say I have a chart with 100 bars, which fills the chart window.

If I change to 50 bars (ie, Right-click -> Format Data Series -> Bars Back), the same horizontal scale is still displayed so that now the chart window displays the 50 bars in the right-half of the chart leaving the left-half of the chart blank.

The "Zoom In" command doesn't seem to do anything.

How do I get the 50 bars to expand out to fill the entire chart window.

    Hello Iself,

    Thank you for your post.

You can expand time on the X-Axis so bars are farther apart to fill the entire chart with the steps below.
    • Move your mouse to the X-Axis
    • Hold down your left mouse button
    • While holding down the left mouse button move the mouse to the left to expand time
    • While holding down the left mouse button move to the right to compress time
I have included a link below to our Help Guide that includes a great video on navigating a chart, also enhancements will be made to scaling in NinjaTrader 7 which is scheduled for BETA release at the end of this quarter.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

      That technique works perfectly, thanks.

I'm not seeing the link to the chart navigation video.

        Hello lself,

Are you able to see the link in this post below this sentence?

If not, I suggest to clear your browser cache and try once or try a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox.

You can also use CNTRL + Up or Dn arrow without running the risk of mis-queuing the cursor.
