market order remains pending

    market order remains pending

    I'm connected to IB's TWS (correct version 892.7).

    On the Orders tab in Control Center, I entered a market order to buy 200 shares of an equity.

    The order remains "pending" - why didn't it execute immediately?

    Global simulation mode is off, and I've selected the correct account.

    Thank you for your post.

    Can you tell me if the order was executed within TWS?

    Also, please make sure you are on the latest version of NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.10. You can check under Help --> About.

      The order has not executed in TWS, nor is it pending in TWS.

      Yes, I'm using latest version of NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.10.

        Ok, can you please send in your trace and log files for today so I can further investigate?

        Try either of these ways and put "Attn: Ray Stein in the subject as well as a link to this post":

        1.) Go to Help --> Mail to Support
        2.) Manually attach:
        The trace and log files are located in the following locations on your PC:
        Trace File: \Documents\NinjaTrader6.5\trace\(date of issue)
        Log File: \Documents\NinjaTrader6.5\log\(date of issue)

          Following your instructions exactly, after clicking the email "Send" button a few seconds later I get an error message that reads,

          "Failed to send mail

          A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed becuse connected host has failed to respond 81.169.163.72:25"

            Ok, please use instructions #2 to manually attach the trace and log files using your personal email.

              Ok, sent the two attached files by personal email.

              Also, interestingly the live strategies are filling orders correctly. The strategies filled orders after I attached the files and sent the email to you so you won't see those fills.

                Ray, here's another observation on this pending order to sell 200 shares LVS.

                On the Orders tab of Control Center, I have entered LVS as the instrument name but there are no bid/ask quotes displayed. If I change the instrument name to most any other equity symbol I then easily see their current quotes.

                When I look at LVS in Instrument Manager, the only exchange checked is 'Default'; all other instruments I regularly trade have both 'Default' and their respective exchange checked.

                But, FWIW, I just checked 'NYSE' for LVS in Instrument Manager, saved the changes, and the order is still pending.
