Confirming install process...

Hi Ninjas,

I've been out of the loop for a while, with a new computer build foremost on my mind, and am now getting back to trading.

I have NT6 version 6.0.0.5 and am wondering what exactly is the correct install process to get the latest updated version.

1. What is the latest public version 8, 9, 10?

2. Do I have to uninstall the current version first, in Add/Remove programs, or can I just run the Installer to update?

3. I spent hours setting up my chart appearance and my indicator parameters. Am I going to lose all that with an update? Is there any method I can use to preserve my chart preferences?

Hello Antraman:

Thank you for your post.

1. The most current release in NT 6 beta 10.

2. You must uninstall NT 6.0.05 prior to installing the latest release.

3. You can transfer over your existing chart templates and restore them in the latest beta release. Your chart templates are located in the folder My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\templates\Chart
