Should I check or uncheck thi in IB TWS when using NT DLL autotrading

    Hello,

I am using NT DLL + eSignal to trade IB TWS account. It seems there is a new option in IB TWS Configure->API->All API Settings->"Use negative numbers to bind automatic orders". What does it really mean? Should I leave it checked or unchecked when using NT DLL?

Not sure what that option is. Please leave it as default.

      Dear ButtonTrader Users,

When IB released the new version 893.x of their TWS one item of the release notes slipped our attention (probably because it was not in the Beta notes).

The option “Use negative numbers to bind automatic orders” is checked now by default instead of being not checked.

This has severe implications for programs like ButtonTrader which use TWS's API.

To continue using ButtonTrader without trouble we urgently ask you to perform the following steps:

In the TWS main menu, select “Configuration”, then “API” and then “All API-settings…”. In the next window you will see a check box named “Use negative numbers to bind automatic orders” which is switched on by default. Please switch this OFF and click "Apply".

        clearpicks,

When using IB with NinjaTrader you need to be using TWS 892. http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...ivebrokers.htm

Please downgrade to the compatible version available in the link above. Thank you.

Is there any known issue which causing any IB TWS version newer than 892 not compatible with NT DLL?

Could not say. NT is compatible with 892 API. If 893 introduced breaking changes then yes NT would be heavily influenced.
