Resuming strategy after restart or disconnect

Is there any method for restarting a strategy running on a chart if the program must be rebooted or the broker connection re-established? If not, what is the consensus work around for resuming auto trading once you have positions and the program or the computer has crashed?

As you start up from a system crash the strategy will recalculate based on historical data. This recalculation is not guaranteed to be the same as you had it in real-time. Historical processing is very different from real-time processing and this may heavily influence what your strategy determines its strategy position as. That being said, you need to manually sync your account position to your strategy position, whether that means placing orders or not is highly dependent on what position your strategy thinks it has and what your account actually has.
