New IB account

I have opened up a new interactive brokers account could you please guide me through the process of hooking NT up to my IB account? I just tried in the new connections tab but it sent me an error msg.

Please follow the instructions at the IB connection guide below to create a connection.

If you intend to trade the IB account, whether demo or live, a NinjaTrader live license is required.

I made the required changes and when I go to connect it is looking for a connection and then it says "connected" but its not green and is not actually connected. Do I have to disable a firewall or anything? I am running CA security.

Hello Pete,

Can you please confirm you setup the TWS API settings as per the connection guide.

Does the issue persist after a reboot of your PC?
