    Upgrade Problem

    Hi...

    Trying to install the latest NT 6 download I am getting several error messages..(I tried uninstalling NT 6 and still get the messages...attached...

    Also...is there a way to attach 2 files ?

      Alfred,

      - Delete any installers you have on your PC.
      - Clear temporary internet files in your browser (Tools > Internet Options)
      - Download the installer again to your desktop
      - Run it

        Hi Ray...

        Installed without a hitch this time and works well now...

        One question though..(had asked before)...a working order does not appear in the Basic Entry window as it did in Ninja 5...is that a problem ?

          Yes, and that is logged. We can't reproduce this and we have no other reports of this which would help us triangulate on the source.

            Ahah...now working orders are showing up in the Basic Entry window on one computer where I just did the reinstall on NT6... I will uninstall and redo on the other one also per your instructions below and see what happens.

            Update...Yes !!....she's aworkin' good on the other one now too !!...working orders showing in Basic Entry there also...I believe perhaps the problem was that when I downloaded the new versionI just auto replaced the old installer that was still on the desktop...in any case I amone happy clam now....

              Hi...

              Another problem has come up (similar on both computers again)..I had the latest Ninja 6 running OK on both computers today in sim mode...then I shut down and did my weekly clean up with System Mechanic ...clean up tracks..get rid of system junk etc...now when I try to start Ninja 6 rather than start up normally it starts to go through an install routine and hangs up at the window in the screenshot below.......I never had this problem with Ninja 5 when I did my weekly claen up with System Mech...and just started Ninja 5 OK again...can you give me any suggestions on this....??...(I had deleted the download installer from my desktops.)

              Now...a bit later...some additional info...I just downloaded the latest version from your download page...with the installer on the desktop Ninja 6 started OK (but the first time on each machine it ran through a bit of installation routine)...then the second time it started cleanly as is typically normal...and runs OK now on both machines...do you need to leave the downloaded installer on your desktop at all times ?...just noticed though...on one machine the working orders now do no appear in the Basic Entry window again, while on the other machine they do...they were both working OK before the clean up....any suggestions ??

              A bit more...tried uninstalling and reinstall...working orders still will not show in Basic Entry on the one machine...

                You only need the installer if system files have been deleted from your installation. Somewhere, this happened to you. I personally always leave installers on my PC, in a downloads folder.

                  Hi Again...

                  I just got a different computer withXP installed on it (rather than Windows 2000)...and in Ninja 6.0 working orders do show OK in the Basic Entry window for me now....

                      Hi Dierk...

                      Now today ...working orders do not appear in Basic Entry (while yesterday they did)..tried restarting NT & my machine...made no difference.

                      This is not super critical to me as I use Basic Entry mainly just for the bigger +/- buttons, and I believe Ray said once that in flight executions will show in basic entry...

                      Have also noticed the ATM strategy has to be re-done in Chart Trader each time at start up...while they remain in Control & Basic OK...

                        What do you mean by strategies need to be redone in the Chart Trader? When you save an ATM strategy as template, the template should be selectable in the strategy comboboxes of both superDOM and chart trader.

                        Ray will follow up on the basic entry issue.

                          Basic Entry issue is already logged as a issue. Only happens on Alfred's PC at this time and can not reproduce it.

                            The strategy window in Charting shows as "none"...you have to open the drop down window and select again...this is minor stuff...
