Download all "Walk Forward" results in one shot

Dear NT,

Is there any way to get in one single download, all the data contained in the Instruments/Optimizer/WalkForward sheets.

At the present time, only a manual download is possible and totally inefficient if you have a set of instruments and multiple periods on which you are running your Walk Forward optimisation strategy.

If by "download", you mean save a permanent copy of, use the Save button in the optimizer results window toolbar. If you mean you want an export to Excel/HTML/PDF/Word, etc. of everything, I don't think that is possible.

Unfortunately Anagoge is correct, you could export a single report by right clicking and selecting 'Export to Excel' - thanks for the suggestion!

If the functionnality does not exist at the present time,

1. Is it foreseen in NT V7?

or

2. Is it possible today to recuperate the data through some custom programming? If yes, how?

Hi Ragingbull, unfortunately you can't access the walkforward optimization data programmatically. We'll release NinjaTrader 7 features and details as we start the beta phase, this will be announced on the forums and is scheduled to happen at the end of this quarter.

If we can't download the data in one shot and can't access them programatically, is it still possible to access them from outside NT?

I guess that after a "save", all the Instruments/Optimizer/Walk Forward data are stored on the local machine either in the "NinjaTrader.mdb" or in another file.

I would like to access the data with the Integration Services from Visual Studio 2005.

Can you explain how I can connect to the file or read the data in NinjaTrader.mdb.

Hi Ragingbull, unfortunately accessing this data outside of NinjaTrader is not supported.
