Cannot place Stop Loss in SuperDOM

I cannot seem to place a Stop Loss order in the SuperDOM.

I have tried two different mouses.

I have changed the parameter in the SuperDom properties for 'Middle mouse button is stop market' from False to True.

    I have re-started Ninja.

When I attempt to place a StopLoss order in SuperDOM there is no indication of this attempt in the Control Center's Log tab.

I can do it on my test machine with the sim version of Ninja but not with my production license on my production machine so I am comfortable in stating that I know how to use this functionality.

    How can this be resolved?

    Thanks,
    C

    Hello TapeReader,

    Thank you for your post.

Have you configured your mouse to use the middle mouse button?

Also, are you attempting to place a Stop Market or Stop Limit order? If you are attempting to place a stop loss order, this would need to be configured in the ATM strategy beforehand.

      Hi Kyle,

I am attempting to put a Stop Market order in when I am in a position...thus, I would consider this a Stop Loss.

I am using the out-of-the-box mouse configuration which allows me to scroll up and down when in a browser but launches the magnifying glass cursor/icon when I click on it.

I went into the Control Panel/Mouse and did not see any configuration options that seemed relevant...can you clarify your question about the mouse configuration and/or offer guidance?

      Thanks,
      C

        Hi TapeReader,

        Thank you for your reply.

Please search your system for any software related to the mouse with which to configure the scroll wheel to act as a middle mouse button. If you cannot find this setting, I suggest consulting the owners manual or the manufacturers website.

          Hi Kyle,

I have 'restored defaults' to the mouse settings but the behavior of NinjaTrader has not changed.

Consulting the manufacturer's website has not yielded any nuggets of substance.

I can always switch my Ninja instances between my TEST and PROD machines but this seems excessive as it would require me to also port some supporting applications...is there anything that can be done to resolve this errant behavior?

          Thanks,
          C

            Hi TapeReader,

            Thank you for your reply.

This issue originates from your mouse not recognizing the middle mouse click. You will need to work with your mouse's manufacturer to resolve this issue.

              Hi Kyle,

Checked the mouse settings again...the middle mouse was set to 'Auto Scroll'.

Changed it to 'Middle Button' and this did the trick.

Thanks for your speedy help in this matter.
