Before I dive in to hours of learning curve can Ninja Trader do this:
Just like the market has pre, intra, and after hours, which to gauge a starting point with software we can now create our own starting points (mini sessions). In the chart images I attached notice within 1-4 minutes (intraday, 1min candle chart) huge short term momentum gains to be taken advantage of. I'm looking at getting in on these stocks 2-3 minutes in a 7-10 minute run. If we could scan stocks which we can set the 3 bars back we could create our own mini sessions. The scan query would look something like this:
NYSE,NASDAQ,AMEX
Market Cap: >1B
Volume: >100k
Starting from of close price of 2nd Candle back
Sort % Gainers descending order at 3rd candle open
Sort by % Gain Descending
This scan would use what the price was 2 minutes ago at the last candle close prior to the opening of the start of the 2 minute "session". The rest is basic sorting out the companies with less than 1B in market cap and less thank 100k in volume, The results are a list of the top gainers with in the last 2 minutes which lets you click on the symbol to follow the chart looking for riding profit opportunity such as those charts images attached.
